LEADERSHIP GROUP
There shall be such a group known as the Leadership group constituted of all the member schools’ head teachers. Head teachers will include the Heads of each section of the member as per each member’s organizational structure. Membership to the Leadership Group is conferred on the individual Headteacher, notwithstanding the member school’s corporate membership in KAIS.
The Leadership Group is the professional association of Headteachers within KAIS. It is constituted of all the member schools’ head teachers. Membership to the Leadership Group is conferred on the individual Headteacher, notwithstanding the member school’s corporate membership in KAIS.
The objectives of the Leadership Group are:
- Promote collegiality and professional development among members schools, and in particular among specialist areas such as Arts, Sports, service and leadership, safeguarding and counselling;
- Facilitate a coalition of common interests for the benefit of member schools in furtherance of the advocacy mandate of KAIS;
- Improve quality of learning and the learning experience for all students; and
- Facilitate high-quality student exchanges in the arts, sports, service and leadership.
The Leadership Group meets once a term in the spirit of openness, cooperation and support, with a view to sharing information and ideas that will be of mutual benefit.
Membership to the Leadership Group continues notwithstanding the end of employment of a Headteacher in a member school unless the membership in the Leadership Group is terminated at the option of the Leadership Committee or the member by resignation.
