About KAISSO

The Kenya Association of International Schools Sports Organisation (KAISSO) is dedicated to designing, implementing and promoting superior athletic events and inter-school initiatives among its member schools and student participants.

KAISSO aims to organise, develop, direct, and control a comprehensive interscholastic activities program that will advocate the ideals of its member schools. The organisation provides a platform to substantiate interscholastic sporting activities as a component of the total educational process. This is achieved through the composition and maintenance of uniformed policies which promote high ideals of good citizenship and sportsmanship.

KAISSO sponsors activities in order to pursue the following goals:

  • To encourage socialisation and intercultural cooperation through sport.

  • To develop a sense of fair play and understand principles of group participation.

  • To develop a sense of self-control and discipline, promoting the importance of participating to the best of one’s abilities.

  • To develop our elite athletes beyond Kenya by working with and alongside local an international governing bodies.

Throughout each term of the academic year KAISSO provides all member schools the opportunity to engage in fixtures and competitive tournaments across a wide variety of sports in U15, U17 and U19 age groups. Our sporting events are categorised into Premiership, Division 1 and Division 2 pools in order to maximise involvement and competition.
